NEVER TOO AGED
to be young
updated 980709
So
far, I am not getting older,
I
am just accumulating more experience of youth!
This page will be autobiographical
whenever I can tear myself from enjoying the present and looking
to the future.
O.K., O.K. so I'll begin. The beginning was nine
months before I was born, but I cannot remember anything about the pre-breathing
period of my life.
Then I was born at about 00:30
EST on Thursday 27 February 1930, in the delivery room of the Bryn Mawr
hospital, as I recall.
Bryn Mawr is a western suburb
of Philadelphia and has a college which, at the time was for women only,
my mother having been one of them. The faculty, on the other hand, did
not discriminate against males, among which was my father.
They gave me the name of Jean-François,
presumably because of my father, Jean Marie Félix Canu, and of my
mother's oldest brother, Francis Young, who died in the first few weeks
of World War I as an airborne observer.
(and that is quite enough for today, my 24825th day
of air-breathing life)
Bits
of moss gathered by a rolling stone.
You
can make a difference
"My
country is ONE..." in
many languages (and more languages are
desired: can you add one?)
He
who laughs last ... doesn't share my sense of
humor.
Never
too young to be wise.
I
have questions... do you have answers?

So what if I do look
