QUESTIONS FOR KIDS [01]
from John Canu inspired by the comics
“Our days are numbered”
updated 980630
The
little girl says: “You said all our days are numbered, Grandmother. What
number is today?”
What do you think the grandmother meant when she said
“All our days are numbered”? To
answer click here
Well, in my class our days are
numbered! But we mean something different: my students are discovering
how to figure ages not just in years, but in
days. For example on the day they start the
school year, August 10, 1998, my age will be exactly 25000 days.
Can you calculate your own age in days? Can you find the
date of my birth? Click
here to tell my students how you did it, or to ask them if they
know how to do it, or to ask them (or me) any other question in which you
are interested.
