Alpha. Cristina Arreola     One of my favorite books is “101 Dalmatians”. I borrowed it from the school library. It is a Disney book with colored pictures on almost all the pages. The pictures are cool and they have 101 dalmatians in them.
    I like it because it has all the characters that I love to watch in the TV cartoon of 101 Dalmatians ON Saturdays at 7:00 a.m. and my favorite author is Steven Gonzales because she do beautiful pictures and she do 101 Dalmatians.
    I have five books of my own at home. One is “Circus Fun” and it is another one of my favorite books. The author is Margaret Hillert. It is illustrated by Elaine Raphael.

Charlie. Martha Cardenas     One of my favorite books is “Bambi” and I like it because on the pages there are pictures in all the book. The pictures are colored.
    Another my favorite book is about “Are You My Mother?” and I like that book because I like the pictures and the writing in the book is not very long and that is why I like the book.
    I like the book of “Garisingan” because it is very fun and I like it very much.
    The authors of my three books are Mamand, Laiders, and Bibiruga.

Delta. Alfredo Cardona My favorite book is “The Magic School Bus”. The authors are The authors are Bruce Degen and Joanna Cole and that book is on TV too, on channel 14 Fox Kids, and that book is cool and the author are cool and also the authors are also on TV. The characters are the boys and the girls, they are in the book and on TV. The authors that created the characters of The Magic School Bus are cool and that is why I like it.

Echo. Zulema Carrillo     I have twenty books of my own at home. My favorite is “The Lion King”. I like the story of Simba, a lion cub the son of Mufasa, king of the animals. Scar is the uncle of Simba and he kills Mufasa because he wants to be the king. But Simba grows up and all the lions want Simba to be the king and the hyenas were not the friends of Scar any more and killed him. I have the movie on tape. I like both the movie and the book, but more the movie.
    Another of my favorite books is “Winnie-the-Pooh Needs Snuggles”. I have it at home. I read it many times. Piglet goes to visit Pooh and he says he needs "snuggles" but the book does not say what are the "snuggles". And my favorite authors are those who wrote the book.
    My other favorite book's title is “Arthur Baby sits” by Marc Brown. It is fantastic fiction because the characters are animals who talk and act like people. I like it a lot because he has to take care of two little twins and he has to take care of his little sister. My favorite author is Marc Brown, he has written other books about Arthur.

Foxtrot. Marco Antonio Ceballos One of my favorite books is “Clifford el Gran Perro Colorado”. He is a giant red dog. He is as big as a house. The author is Norma Bridwell. The book is translated from English by Frances M. Leos. The principal character is Clifford, the great red dog. The book is fantastic fiction. I like the story because the girl has a big dog. The story is about a girl who has

Golf. Julio Cesar Eggenhafer One of my favorite books is “Dragon Ball Z2”. It is of a cartoon with color pictures on almost all the pages. The pictures are medium in size and they have D.Ball.Z in them.
I like it because it has all the characters that I love to watch in the TV cartoon of D-Ball-Z every day at 7:00 P.M. and my favorites in this book are Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccoro, Callosama, Ten Chin Hand, Chaus, Llamesha, because there is a difference with the humans and a difference with the Planet Furt. And he fights to defend the universe and the planets.

Hotel. Xochitl Favela One of my favorite books is “Sopo y Sepo, Un Año Entero” translated from “Frog and Toad All Year”. The author is Arnold Lobel. It is fantastic fiction. Frog goes to Toad's home and says: “Look how the winter is pretty.” The picture shows Toad's house with snow on the ground around it. They go out and make a snow man. In the spring they go out and smell the flowers. In the summer they go to the swimming pool. In the fall they have fun throwing around the fallen leaves.

Juliet. Jesús Martín Frías One of my favorite books is “El Gran Negocio de Francisca” by Russell Hoban, illustrations by Lillian Hoban. It is a book of 62 pages. It is fantastic fiction. Francisca is a mapache (Spanish for: raccoon). She goes to see a raccoon friend and they go to visit other friends and they play.

Kilo. Ixtzel García One of my favorite books is “Night Flier”, by Elizabeth Ring, photographs by Dwight Kuhn. It is non-fiction about the life of a cecropia moth. There are photographs of the moth shown very big. I looked at all the pictures. But I did not read the text because I can only read a little in Spanish and not in English and the book is in English. One picture shows the moth with little eggs. Then there is a picture in which a caterpillar comes out of the egg. When the caterpillar is born it has a lot of spines and it is black with yellow. Then it grows and it loses its spines and it becomes green with yellow. Later it wraps itself in like a spider web. Then it becomes a moth that comes out.
I like this book because I like butterflies and in Spanish “mariposa” means both butterfly and moth, so to me they are the same and this moth is very beautiful.

Lima. Corina Gonzalez     One of my favorite books is “Babar and His Friends”. The book has colored pictures on the half of the pages. I like it because it is interesting. And I like it because they show you things like forks and you need to guess what it is in a box.
    My other favorite book is “The Hunchback of Notre-Dame”. It is a Disney book with colored pictures on almost all the pages. The pictures are big. I like because of all the characters that I love to watch in the movie.
    My favorite author is Dr. Seuss because they do beautiful pictures and they do a lot of books.

Mike. Perla Gonzalez One of my favorite books is “The Cat in the Hat”. The author of that book is Dr. Seuss. It has colored pictures on most of the pages. I like it because of the characters.
My author that I like is Dr. Seuss because he do a lot of books. And he do a lot of beautiful pictures. And the picture she draw in the book are pretty and I like the book of “Babar and the Best Gift in the World”. I like it because the pictures are on almost all the pages. And the authors of that book are Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff.

November. Mayra Licón     One of my favorite books is “The Very Happy Caterpillar”.
    It is a Disney book with colored pictures on almost every page. The pictures are big.
    My other favorite book is “Winnie-the-Pooh” and it is a Disney book too.
    The pictures are a little bit big.
    I like it because it has all the characters that I love to watch in the TV cartoon of Winnie-the-Pooh every day at 3:30 and I like it a lot.

Papa. José Magallon I have seven books and my favorite book is about a young fox and a young dog, and they play together, and then the owner of the dog comes and doesn't let him play with the fox. Then they grow up and they are are not friends any more. I look at the pictures and my sisters reads the book to me. When I like the book very much I try to read it myself,

Quebec. Manuel Marquez The title of my favorite book is “Mouse's birthday”. The author is Jane Yulen. Bruce Degen is the one who did the pictures. It is fantastic fiction. I borrowed it from the school library. I don't have any books of my own. It is about the birthday of a mouse and all the animals of the farm went to visit him and also the farmer. The mouse could not blow out the candle on the cake. The animals and the farmer helped him to blow it out. They blew so hard that they sent the mouse flying. When he fell down they all ate the cake. I like it because it is an easy book to read in English. I can read better in Spanish.
“The Lion King”, in Spanish “El rey León”, and “Bambi” are other of my favorite books. I like to read them in English and then in Spanish to learn more English.

Romeo. Hector Mendoza My favorite book is Jumanguy because it has many things to read and the pictures are many and because there are 500 pages and because it has very small letters as I like them.
My favorite author is Dr. Seuss because he writes nice stories and he makes many stories where there is plenty to read and the stories sometimes he makes stories of nature with animals which is why I like that author.

Sierra. Pedro Luis Muñoz     One of my favorite books is “Our Planetary System”. It is non-fiction by Isaac Asimov.
    My other favorite book is “Beethoven's 2nd Puppy Love”.
    It is a Disney book with colored pictures on almost all the pages.
    I like it because the book has all the doggies of the movie.
    I don't remember my favorite authors because I don't have the books with me.

Uniform. Nancy Ramirez The name of a book I like very much is “Boots”. It is one of my four books that belong to me. Is is written by David Lloyd and illustrated by Patrick Benson. It is a book for those who are beginning to read. I got it when I was in first grade. Now it is easy for me to read, but I still like it. It is about a man, Tom, and his his goose, rabbit, goat, and chicken. Then he finds two mice in his boots.

Victor. Gemma Roldan I like the book “A DISTANT PUZZLE -- the planet Uranus”. The author is Isaac Azimov. I borrowed it from the school library. I don't have books of my own. It is non-fiction. I found out that Uranus has rings. I have not yet read the whole book. I chose that book because I like to know about all the planets. Afterwards I will borrow books about the other planets.

Whisky. Elisa Ruiz Me, I like the book “Swans' Lake” and that of “Cats, Cats, Cats” and it is about that a lady gets a lot of cats and they made a lot of houses for them and “crash!” they fell and then they took them in a ship and in 5 trains and then they put up signs that “ Cats given away ” and the lady had 4 cats left and also I like the book of the Lion King and it makes me laugh because of the bird.

Yankee. Fernando Solis     My favorite books are:
    “The Magic School Bus in the Solar System” translated into Spanish as “El Autobús Mágico en el Sistema Solar”. It is fantastic fiction by Joanna Cole, illustrated by Bruce Degen. The principal characters are a teacher, señorita Carola, and her class. I think the kids look like they are in third grade. They have a school bus that is magical because it can become a space rocket. I like this book because we learn from it, it has non-fiction about the Solar System written on the sides of the pictures, and it has medium pictures.
    “The Cat and the Hat” because there is a movie.
    My favorite authors are Dr. Seuss and Joanna Cole because they do books that we can learn from.
